Should I do Colonics? Beneficial, yet not crucial. Listening to what the body wants and needs - that is what this week is about.
Organic Juice keep hunger at bay five times a day. The organic juices consist of carrot, celery, apple, beet and ginger (not all at the same time) with water to enhance your detox. Some detoxers naturally prefer just water as their detox deepens.
Detox Supplements (listed below) are taken with the juice to promote comprehensive detox throughout the intestines and enhance productivity of the colonic irrigations.
provide fibre that keeps your digestive tract moving during your detox fast, sweeping away old debris and toxins that get released during your detox from the digestive tract. Also, it keeps the stomach full - curtailing any sensations of hunger!
effectively melt the old indigested material and toxins that get caught in old mucoid layers along the bowel wall. These enzymes work along with the psyllium (above) to eliminate this toxic material during the colonics.

A complete course of good bacteria is supplied at the end of your detox retreat to reinhabit the bowel with healthy flora. These extremely popular talks are an inspiring 'fresh start' crash course. Easy-to-grasp, with a practical slant, you will learn to listen to your body for your own health. Explaining digestion, pH balance, food- combining, toxicity, sequential eating, superfoods and more.

To give you feedback about how the process is affecting your system you may check your weight, Body Mass Index , understood further through actual Body Fat Percentage readings. Blood pressure and pulse rate readings and urine analysis to determine your ongoing pH balance.
You will also receive information on how to prepare ahead of time for your detox and how to ease back into your life after your detox retreat.
We end our detox with a feast of live foods, lovingly prepared for you.
After hearing about the benefits of enzyme rich food you now get to taste LIVE tomato pasta, nut and seed dips, chocolate and more. It's a party!
Our sharing groups provide a safe space to share experience and thoughts. This promotes emotional support between course members and creates a special bond.
As with anything on the retreat, it is not obligatory. Also, a facilitator is always on-hand to provide individual support if required.
Our guests reside in one of a series of cottages and a farmhouse, with indoor poolhouse, sauna, gym suite, yoga room and common room.
Each cottage has a sitting room with flat screen TV, DVD and wireless. Set within landscaped gardens and 5 acres of peaceful fields... this is Devon at it's best!
